I'm at 3 weeks post-op and its time to eat some food!! For my first meal I pureed a piece of boiled chicken, avocado, and a little bit of ricotta cheese. It may look gross, but I was so thankful to eat something besides liquid that I didn't care!! It was actually pretty good! I was having a little but of a hard time with my protein shakes (I need to get in at least 60-70 grams of protein a day) but thankfully now I can have one shake a day and then get the rest of my protein in my foods :)
I am doing really well with everything! No throwing up and I am back to my normal everyday routines in life. My incisions are pretty well healed and am feeling awesome.
I know that I said that the first 6 weeks wasn't about weight loss but I'm happy to report that I have lost another 14 pounds since my surgery day.
Anyways, all in all I'm doing GREAT! My next post will be at six weeks when I get my first fill in my Lap Band. That is when the REAL journey begins!!
